As much as I do think you push the Political Correctness aspect on things, I think that sort of thing is something that could be encouraged with topics that are so rarely covered by the media, because anyone could stumble about these pages and get a huge introduction to something that is more likely than not improperly introduced or portrayed as a joke. My friend told me to add Queersecrets, and almost every single post about Asexuality has offended me, because for a large portion of my life I just assumed I was heterosexual because I was strongly attracted to males, and with the social stigma on female sexuality, I didn't find it so abnormal that I didn't care much for sex, but when I realized after living with a guy that I am a heteroromantic asexual and I analyzed and studied it, I quickly realized that we are so badly harrassed, insulted, played off as a joke, and misrepresented, even by people that are supposed LGBT spokespeople- saying that asexuality is some sort of a trend or has to be the cause of some sort of alternate health problem, and I just want to say THANK YOU. You definitely are open-minded to asexuality to where I didn't feel ridiculous for reblogging some Queersecrets and feeling horribly offended by the misuse of the word.
I identify on the asexual-spectrum myself, and I do think asexuality is very misunderstood and marginalized. I’m glad you enjoy my blog :)
