Above all else, this person is a WOMAN. I understand a CURIOSITY about being with a trans woman, but saying you FANTASIZE about being with one makes it sound like you’re putting them in this complete separate category, which I’m sure they don’t appreciate.
Therefore, if you did date a trans woman you would most certainly not be a “fake lesbian”, since… you’d still be dating a woman. You need to tell your best friend to stop treating trans women like a complete separate category outside of “woman”, and you also need to remind yourself to do the same.
